GEORGE BREWER was born in Boston and spent his formative years in Dover, MA before moving to Sarasota, Florida where he was exposed to the modernism of Paul Raudalph's architecture. He returned to Boston in the late 80's to attend Boston Architectural Center and received his Professional degree in Architecture. George worked for several prominent architects in the Boston area including Tony De Castro, a modernist and former partner of Walter Gropius, as well as the prestigious firm of Anthony Tappé.
George retuned to Florida to found BREWER ARCHITECTURE INC. in 1992. George has lead BREWER ARCHITECTURE INC. to receive numerous awards and public recognition for their tremendous creativity and contributions to the field of architecture. Known for his out-of-the-box thinking, George creates architecture which is both innovative and sensitive to the context in which it is created. The ultimate goal being to create projects which enhance the character and sense of place within the community. Regardless of project size, BREWER ARCHITECTURE INC. strives to provide a higher quality of life through architectural design.
George works very closely with his clients, his easy way leading to fruitful collaborations and unexpected results which far exceed the clients initial expectations. George understands the need to give back to the community and has participated in various local boards in the Delray Beach community. BREWER ARCHITECTURE INC. has been published numerous times and has won multiple awards for excellence in the field of architecture. George gained his initial notoriety for his Bahama residence which was featured in Fine Homebuilding and received first place in an international design competition for it's design.
George resides in Delray Beach, Florida with his wife Amy and his son, Bowen. He lives an active life and pursues his passion for tennis, cycling and travel. He teaches performance driving at various racetracks and is now persuing his new challenge of flying.
